Gingher’s specialized Buttonhole Scissors opens a buttonhole perfectly every time - without damaging or ruining the securing buttonhole threads. This unique scissors is fitted with an adjustable screw that can be used to predetermine the exact length of a cut before using them to open a buttonhole. Practice on a piece of scrap fabric by marking the length of the buttonhole and calibrating the length of the cut by adjusting the screw.
