DESCRIPTION
JUKI MO-6814A is a high-speed, two-needle, four-thread industrial overlock sewing machine engineered for professional garment production. It produces a 514 overlock stitch, combining seam construction and edge finishing in a single operation, making it especially appropriate for high-volume production of knitwear, T-shirts, sportswear, underwear, children's garments and general apparel.
A major advantage of the MO-6814A platform is its bottom differential-feed system. The differential feed can compensate for fabrics that tend to stretch, ripple or gather during sewing. JUKI specifies a gathering differential ratio of 1:2, adjustable up to 1:4, and a stretching ratio of 1:0.7, adjustable to approximately 1:0.6.
The machine is capable of operating at speeds up to 7,000 stitches per minute, depending on the exact subclass. This production speed makes it suitable for industrial sewing departments and continuous garment-manufacturing lines where throughput and seam consistency are important.
The standard MO-6814A/AS configuration uses automatic lubrication with JUKI Machine Oil 18. JUKI specifies that the needle-bar and upper-looper mechanisms do not require conventional lubrication in the current AS configuration, reducing oil exposure around critical sewing areas.
Unlike a straight-stitch lockstitch machine, the MO-6814A does not use a rotary hook or bobbin. Stitch formation is performed by needles and loopers. Its knife system trims the material edge immediately before the overlock stitch is formed.
